CoCoMAD Festival, 2nd July 2011, Cotteridge Park

CoCoMAD i s a free music, arts and dance festival based in Cotteridge Park, Birmingham. Starting at 12pm, the festival begins with a carnival parade from the Friend’s Meeting House and continues to the main park entrance. 

Indie rock outfit Dinky kick start the music, performing at 12.30pm. While 6.15pm will see local experimentalists Misty’s Big Adventure headlining the free festival, that encourages a £2 donation to the organisers to pay for licensing fees.

Other activities include a climbing wall, wood sculpting and an Animal Train, allowing people to make their own instruments from bits and bobs found lying around.

There will also be an Acoustic Open Mic tent open 1pm until 8pm, and make sure you check out the Cocolounge for chill-out beats!

Other bands performing include Britpop-punk band The Nortons, soul and funk groovers Muthafunk and harmonic bluegrass band The Toy Hearts.
