Walking in to British artist Susan Collis’s exhibition you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve stumbled in to an install. At first glance the space will look almost empty or not yet ready but a double take will reveal more.

The finest locally hand-made contemporary arts and designer crafts will be available over the Easter holiday in another pop up shop set to open in the Pavilions Shopping Centre. Following from the success of the Brilliantly Birmingham Pop Up the centre has embraced the art community this time giving space to 25 artists and designmakers from the region (image Nisha Grover).

The Nissan Cube

For those of you reading this who live in Birmingham you may have spotted a rather strange looking vehicle being driven around the city during February. The Nissan Cube became our ride for a week and what fun we had.

We Are Eastside

If you’ve heard the term ‘Creative Quarter’ and ‘Eastside’ bandied around and wondered what or where that is then We Are Eastside will help explain. 16 cultural and creative organisations based in the Digbeth area of the city are driving a creative renaissance that is set to launch with a major open weekend between Friday 26 March and Sunday 28 March this year.

The Hobbit – Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

From the 9-13th March Wolverhampton becomes part of the origins of Middle-Earth mythology, as JRR Tolkiens’ seminal text The Hobbit springs to life in this wonderfully original and acclaimed stage version.
