Live Review: Gary Numan, Wulfrun Hall, 18.09.11

Wulfrun Hall became quite overwhelming, as the distinctive Numan look-a-likes flooded the venue in full attire, black dyed hair (sewn-in/wigs) and make-up as far as the eye could see. While many other devoted fans basked in dedication, wearing previous tour t-shirts dating well before Gary’s last decade of performances.

Espirito Brum 16-18 September

The UK edition of Brazil’s Espirito Mundo heads to Birmingham this month (September 16th- 18th 2011) for Espirito Brum.  The cross-cultural celebration brings together artists from Brazil and Birmingham, in a three day festival.

When Rebecca Short started her BA Fashion Design course at Birmingham City University three year’s ago she would have been hard-pushed to guess that one of the world’s most popular cultural icons would be wearing a piece from her final year collection. When Lady Gaga’s stylist spotted Rebecca’s designs during graduate fashion week she asked if she could borrow a piece. The next thing Rebecca knew was her neoprene dress (far left) was snapped by the world’s paparazzi and Rebecca’s name was all over the press.
