REVIEW: MATMOS – mac, 15.5.11

Cluttered with wires and gadgets, the mac’s more ‘relaxed’ seated theatre had no time to prepare for the hysterical onset of spine-shivering lunacy. Making most people question their own sanity, John Wiese’s chaotic, industrial intensities examined the characteristics of a video nasty soundtrack, delving deeper into the grime of extreme distress.

Raising funds for charities: Care for Casualties, Help for Heroes, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity and The Royal British Legion, the thought-provoking and controversial company explore war in modern times, created after an intense period of research with The 4th Battalion, The Rifles.

Retro Brum Vintage fair launches tomorrow…

Vintage shops and fairs seem to do really well in the city so there is no surprise that another has popped up. Launching this Saturday (7th May) it includes fashion, homewares and art as well as a vintage tea room, catwalk shows, a DJ set from Tantrums and to top it off you can get a retro hair-do and make over sorted for your Saturday night out.
