Love clothes but don’t have the budget to go shopping? Then swishing might just be the right thing for you.
The Vaults bar and restaurant in Birmingham is hosting a Swishing event on Saturday 28th November, in order to help raise money for the Quinborne Community Centre. The centre has been supporting its local community for over 70 years and is a registered charity and so relies on fundraising.
Swishing is a great way of refreshing your wardrobe. You simply swap clothes and accessories you no longer use with other ladies so that everyone leaves with something they want.
If you want to get involved, then head to the Vaults Bar between 2pm and 3.30pm. Each lady must bring at least two items which can then be exchanged for equal or less garments than they arrived with. Staff will arrange all the clothes into swish booths. During this time you can enjoy a free drink and entertainment.
At 3.30 there’ll be a live fashion show hosted by the Hox Boutique and then at 4pm, you can start shopping as the swish booths open.
Entry costs £10 per person which includes a free drink. Men are welcome to come along too, though they must make a donation.
