International Project Space July screenings

A series of screenings accompanying Redmond Entwistle’s exhibition at International Project Space will present his previous feature Monuments (2010) alongside a number of seminal 16mm films which have informed his approach to filmmaking.

The Design Research Unit

Open until February 12th 2011, The Birmingham Institute of Art and Design’s International Project Space will be exhibiting work from design pioneers The Design Research Unit. The group formed in London in 1942 under the charge of poet and art critic Herbert Read. It pioneered a model for group practise, being the first consultancy in the country to bring together expertise in architecture, graphics and industrial design.

Nationally acclaimed London-based artist Lucy Clout takes over International Project Space during July. Having been highlighted as one of Art Review’s ‘Future Greats’ in 2009 she broke the mould by receiving the accolade while still a student completing her MA in Sculpture at London’s Royal College.
