The Design Research Unit
Open until February 12th 2011, The Birmingham Institute of Art and Design’s International Project Space will be exhibiting work from design pioneers The Design Research Unit. The group formed in London in 1942 under the charge of poet and art critic Herbert Read. It pioneered a model for group practise, being the first consultancy in the country to bring together expertise in architecture, graphics and industrial design. Continue reading
