Home of Metal Competition and open day

Photographer Steve Gerrard,  who has captured Radiohead, Metallica, Kiss, Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Iron Maiden, The Sex Pistols and Kings of Leon during his illusterious career, will be working with Home of Metal to give one lucky unsigned band the chance to be photographed in a one-off photo shoot. HOME OF METAL – take up residence in Wolverhampton

Metal fans wanted! From Thursday 17th June – Saturday 19th Home Of Metal will be taking up residence in a disused shop in Wolverhampton city centre (City 10. 18 Queen Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1TQ), inviting fans to bring along their memorabilia & stories to be photographed & recorded to contribute to the digital archive.

Home of Metal is a project aimed at creating the first digital archive of metal music, memorabilia and fans stories, to tell the story of this unique moment of Midlands’ musical heritage. Focusing on the innovators of the genre and those that continued to develop it: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Napalm Death and Godflesh. Continue reading →
