Tunng, the electro-folk band from East London, form the focus of mac’s August musical calendar headlining the outdoor Arena space and supported by local band, Health and Efficiency.

The eclectic folksters will be performing songs from their album, released earlier this year, ‘… And Then We Saw Land’.  A more folktronic vibe than previous records, it offers listeners a wholesome folk sound, completed with a touch of drums and a bit of acoustic action – that is all rounded off with a synthy twist. HOME OF METAL – take up residence in Wolverhampton

Metal fans wanted! From Thursday 17th June – Saturday 19th Home Of Metal will be taking up residence in a disused shop in Wolverhampton city centre (City 10. 18 Queen Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1TQ), inviting fans to bring along their memorabilia & stories to be photographed & recorded to contribute to the digital archive.

Home of Metal is a project aimed at creating the first digital archive of metal music, memorabilia and fans stories, to tell the story of this unique moment of Midlands’ musical heritage. Focusing on the innovators of the genre and those that continued to develop it: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Napalm Death and Godflesh. Continue reading
