ILLUMINATE Light Night – 25-27 October

Bullring-ScreenBirmingham Hippodrome is back with another outdoor spectacle hot off the heels of Summer in Southside and 4 Squares Weekender. This time it is all about the lights with three atmospheric days and evenings of amazing interactive light artworks in the city’s Southside district. Featuring a 360degree film igloo; a light inspired live dance performance; a series of interactive street projections; and from Shanghai, the Lanterns of Terracotta Warriors Exhibition the area is set to come alive with colour.

Wings of Desire, 16 – 19 May Victoria Square, Birmingham

International Dance Festival Birmingham is a major biennial festival produced by DanceXchange and Birmingham Hippodrome. Hosting an array of dance styles from ballet to breaks this year you can also catch dance-inspired films and even a Drum ’n’ Bass star taking centre stage.
