AREA GUIDE – Latest edition

Our annual festival edition is out now and is packed with competitions to win tickets to the best UK & European summer festivals. Read it online here or pick it up at venues throughout the West Midlands.

Area – New Art West Midlands Special Edition

To celebrate the fine artistic talent of the region for this edition we teamed up with New Art West Midlands to showcase some of the fine works on display until May. Take a look at the digital edition here or pick up your copy in the usual spaces as well as at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

 

Summer in Southside starts next weekend!

The jaw dropping Nofit State Circus (pictured below); Warwickshire based Motionhouse with a nail-biting blend of emotional and extraordinary dance and aerial work; a fully animated 20 foot Iron Man (pictured above) bringing puppetry, and live music for kids and adults alike; Sign Spinning all the way from Hollywood, a strolling street band hailing from the Indian community in Trinidad plus a host of wonderful surprises in unusual settings make their way to Birmingham’s Southside during August!

Total insanity. But tonight, it seemed like a gradual sort of insanity, easing those unfamiliar, fresh pairs of ears and eyes into the madness, which enhanced after every track. Though, it wasn’t just Misty’s who oozed in oddity, their cult like fans were just as to blame, if not more.
