It didn’t take us long to get in the festive spirit when we found out what the region has to offer us during this wonderful time of year. Christmas Celebrations

Costumed guided tours, carol singing by Enchant choir and festive refreshments in the tearoom. Buy those last minute presents in the gift shop, or choose from the extensive selection of designer jewellery.

Christmas at Winterbourne

Enjoy Christmas fun, Edwardian style. The house will be decked out in all its seasonal glory with boughs of holly and a traditional tree. Upstairs there will be festive themed craft activities for children and Magic Lantern shows. Christmas treats will be available in the tearoom and traditional carols will be sung. To round off this day of family fun, there will also be a magical grotto where you can meet Father Christmas.

Brindleyplace Big Christmas Party

The annual Santas on the Run event raises money for Acorns Children’s Hospice. Join hundreds of people running, skipping, walking and jogging the route dressed as Santa in support of local life limited children. The celebrations will continue into the afternoon with the Brindleyplace Big Christmas Party.

Flatpack presents a Christmas film night within the beautiful surroundings of Birmingham Cathedral. The evening’s programme starts with short films with a festive theme, including Edison’s 1910 adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and end with a main feature – Buster Keaton’s 1928 feature, The Cameraman.

Notorious Choir
Around Southside: The Arcadian, Hippodrome Piazza and Hurst Street

Southside will be filled with the sound of music with singing from Birmingham’s Notorious Choir, and visitors can pose with friends and family in the festive Christmas cut-out boards. Santa will also be welcoming visitors to the district by handing out some Christmas gifts (and the 16, 22).

Live Nativity
Queen Square & Dudley Street, Wolverhampton, 11am – 3pm
A live nativity will be performed in Queen Square with real camels and donkeys. Meanwhile Sid and Scrat (Ice Age) will be around keep the kids entertained in Dudley Street and brass bands will serenade shoppers.
