The UK edition of Brazil’s Espirito Mundo heads to Birmingham this month (September 16th- 18th 2011) for Espirito Brum. The cross-cultural celebration brings together artists from Brazil and Birmingham, in a three day festival.
Concerts, workshops, recordings and interventions will come together to celebrate Brazilian culture along with offering a space for West Midlands’ creative talent to explore and create alongside artists from a far removed cultural context.
More than anything, Espirito Brum is just a huge big massive excuse to have a party together, dance, share and enjoy the simple abundance of human creative endeavour. Full weekend wristbands are available for just £20, this covers entry to the full three days of events, with 30 acts, workshops, films, yummy Brazilian food, scrummy Lebanese, vegetarian and Jamaican scran, phone boxes full of poetry and jazz jam sandwiches. What a fabulous lot of wonderment for such a tiny price, we hear you gasp. Well we couldn’t agree more
Taking place throughout Digbeth Espirito Brum’s £20 weekend tickets are on sale through Ticketsellers. Walk in tickets, as well as tickets for individual events, will also be available at each venue.
