If you are a fan of the fabulously camp Rocky Horror then Urban Coffee on Church Street are inviting you to get your fishnets on for The Rocky Horror Piano Show – a one-man revue of songs from the cult show.
This Friday evening from 6.30pm (15 July 2011) Midland performer Mark Guest, the man behind the makeup, will be performing his debut show at Urban Coffee’s Church Street emporium as a warm up to a busy summer schedule of birthday bashes, hen dos and even some light-hearted corporate bookings.
“People describe Rocky Horror as a ‘cult’ show, but in my experience it is a cult we’re all initiated into – I haven’t met one person who doesn’t smile when you mention the show or know all of the moves to Timewarp. It encourages even the most straight-laced folk to let their hair down and have a bit of fun; definitely a bit of a guilty pleasure for many.
“I’ve been perfecting my Rocky Horror Piano Show for about a year now, so am excited to be finally debuting it down at Urban Coffee Company this Friday. It’s just me and a piano – although of course I have full costume to help me and the audience get into the spirit of the show!”
Anyone who goes in character will receive a free coffee for their efforts, with the best dressed on the night receiving a special prize.
