Roll up, Roll up the circus is coming to town – but with a twist! This March Dorothy, Toto, The Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow and even the Wizard himself will be following the yellow brick road to leafy Swanshurt Park, where for one night only they will be joining Birmingham’s very own Zippos Circus. In an outdoor cinema extravaganza courtesy of Nomad Cinema, the classic 1939 film starring Judy Garland will be shown in all it’s glory in this Circus Big Top presentation.
Inside the huge tent the 70th anniversary digitally remastered reissue of the film will be projected onto The Nomad’s magical giant inflatable screen. Guests will be treated not to any old, boring, interval either, the audience will be immersed in even more magic – courtesy of Zippo’s Circus Troupe! Which includes flying acrobats, magicians, clowns and daredevils…excuse the pun but even the nerves of the bravest lion will be shaken!
Forget clicking your ruby slippers and saying ‘There’s no place like home.’ this March there really is no place like Nomad Cinema’s uber-kitsch circus-style presentation of ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
