Fashion – How to Prepare a Fashion Portfolio plus Practical Workshop – 11:15am – 3:15pm – Friday 28th January 2011.
This workshop, presented by the Fashion Careers Clinic will enable attendees to prepare and plan a portfolio that will truly reflect their talent to prospective colleges, universities and employers. With a focus on how designers create their own collections, with exclusive examples of work from professional designers at Topshop, Burberry and River Island.
The session will be presented by Madeleine Ostlie, who worked for 3 years as a Buying Assistant at TOPSHOP Head Office. Since leaving Buying she has become a sort after Stylist. Check out Madeleine’s fashion blog – Seamless
Photography – Industry Overview with Rhubarb-Rhubarb – Friday 28th January 1:15pm-3:15pm
This workshop, led by Lorna Mary Webb, company manager at Rhubarb-Rhubarb will outline their work, which included bringing ‘Obama’s People’ exhibition by Nadav Kander to the UK . The second half of the session will look at careers in the industry and will also include a group discussion and an opportunity for attendees to share their own work and get an objective view from Rhubarb-Rhubarb staff.
