LANGUAGE is the closing season of VIVID’s 2008-10 PIONEERS programme, and will itself culminate in the Nightmare Before Christmas party on 18 December, 8.30pm till late (admission £5).
The season consists of an international selection of moving image, exhibition, discussion and print. The featured works cover four decades, from films reflecting post-Structuralist theories of the 70s to documented actions and contemporary works newly commissioned by VIVID.
The featured artists will be John Adams, William Burroughs, Barbad Golshiri, Gary Hill, Valérie Mréjen, Aura Satz, Guy Sherwin, Margaret Tate and Olivier Zabat.
