Stand-up, television, acting: Stephen K. Amos appears to do it all.
Appearances on Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News for You raised his profile and now, with his own stint on the BBC with The Stephen K. Amos Show, he will no doubt become a well-known face in British households.
A regular performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in both plays and stand-up shows, Amos has been given the critical acclaim many comics can only dream of, and his gentle manner and open humour have filled a gap in the market of loud, hyperactive comedians.
With the Evening Standard claiming that “Amos should be prescribed by the NHS for his formidable healing powers”, he is hitting the road with his show The Best Medicine in an attempt to show that even in the world of tablets and patent remedies, laughter is really all that we need.
