The Art of Iridesence

Franziska Schenk’s The Art of Iridesence – Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder exhibition at the School of Art, Margaret Street.
The exhibition will offer you the chance to view first hand the exquisite work created by Franziska Schenk, artist and Lecturer in Visual Art at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, together with an opportunity  to talk directly with the artist about her work. The series of paintings mimic Nature’s evolutionary processes. With iridescence as the theme of the exhibition Franziska’s work has been informed by the intricate structures of butterflies, exploring bio-inspired effects of colour change and associated artistic methods to inject a dynamic dimension into painting
The exhibition is part of the British Science Festival taking place from 14th -19th September at venues across the City – simply click here for details.
I hope that you will be able to join us for this exciting private view of The Art of Iridesence.
