The New Art Gallery Walsall
Until – 4 July
Sun K Kwak designs every new piece of work as reaction to each specific location and the Korean artist’s latest temporary piece will be a sprawling creation across the crevices and contours of The New Art Gallery Walsall.
Each formation is carefully crafted from vinyl and masking tape, placed precisely and painstakingly to give the impression of an unprocessed and flowing entity that responds with the building. Sun will have sixteen days to shape her designs and the exhibition in Gallery 1 will finish with the ultimate display of the impermanent nature of her work, by tearing it all down.
