Still-Dancing
19th April-8th May
Custard Factory Gallery, Gibb Street, Birmingham
By Richard Battye
Birmingham-based photographer Richard Battye presents his beautiful images of dancers from his latest collection of work spanning 2-years.
Photographed in the studio and at eye-catching locations in and around the city timing of the exhibition perfectly coincides with Birmingham hosting the International Dance Festival.
“The International Dance Festival Birmingham is a great chance to promote the benefits of dancing, and to highlight the city as a thriving and successful cultural destination. Thanks to TV shows like “Strictly Come Dancing” dancing is very high profile at the moment , so the region should really use this to its advantage.” Says Richard.
“Dancing is fun to do but it’s just as much fun to watch. Hopefully my pictures will encourage people to get involved at all levels.”
