One half of The Mighty Boosh’s duo comic actor Julian Barrett will star alongside Smack The Pony’s Doon Mackichan in a new production of this glorious Russian comedy, which is a co-production between The Young Vic and Warwick Arts Centre.

The Catapult Club celebrates 10 years at Birmingham’s 02 Academy

Legendary Midlands based promoters The Catapult Club, who helped to establish local acts from throughout the region, including Ocean Colour Scene, Editors, Dodgy, Kasabian and The Twang, this March celebrated its 10th year of promoting gigs at Birmingham’S 02 Academy.

Calling All Music Producers

The Midlands-based independent record company Speech Fewapy Records are teaming up with electronic two-piece Waler to offer budding and established music producers, the unique opportunity to remix the Waler track ‘No Excuses’. The winning remixes will be selected to feature on the forth-coming ‘No Excuses – Remix EP’ which is released nationally on digital download and CD  on 2nd May, 2011.

Excited to hear that there is a new creative space to add to Birmingham’s already diverse cultural landscape. The Studio, Digbeth is located next door to the wonderful young people’s charity Fairbridge. The charity supports and works with de-motivated young people aged between 13 and 25 providing them with skills and opportunities to change their lives for the better.
