Scribbleffiti exhibition at Urban Coffee Co

Scribbleffiti will be unveiling his debut exhibition created from reclaimed material from the streets of Birmingham today (5th August 2011) at Urban Coffee Company.

Reclamation – An Exhibition of Urban Art, which runs until the end of the month, features the work of the Castle Bromwich artist, real name Carl Booth. The exhibition is his first solo venture, and the Birmingham born artist is excited about the launch.

Carl said “I called the exhibition Reclamation as it has multiple meanings for me. A lot of my materials I salvage from skips and building sites and turn into the art you will see at the exhibition,, but the idea of giving everyone and everything a second chance really resonates with me, as that is a part of my story.”

Urban Coffee Co welcome other Birmingham artists to get in touch for future exhibitions. If you’re interested in having your work displayed at Urban then visit the Jewellery Quarter emporium or call Cath on 0121 233 1599.

Cool artist — I followed the link you provided to his website. His work is really neat — some fun monsters with bold colors. Thanks!
